: Speedo Lens
Franchise May 24th, 08, 9:19 PM Hi,
I am just ruined my speedo lens (sweeping gauge) from a malibu b/c i used a little cleaner on it (thats what i get for being OCD-sometimes).
SO now i need to find a place who sells them.
I checked NPD, OPG, and classic chevy....
ANY IDEAS?
Thanks,
Franchise

I sanded the scratches out of mine and polished it on a cloth buffer wheel with Jeweler's rouge.

Franchise May 25th, 08, 5:00 PM Dean,
will that work, even though it was lacquer thinner in a corner...but just age...?
what grit?
SSuper Dave---PM ed.
thanks guys.
zx7joker May 25th, 08, 6:49 PM I've used Meguiar's plastic polish(2 step system) on a taillight lens I did the same thing to a few years back. It worked really good but I don't have to look at it every time I drive so results may very.
Franchise May 26th, 08, 11:14 AM guys,
thanks for the info.

Xtreme70SS396 May 26th, 08, 5:36 PM Ron,
I polished mine up similar to the way these guys said - I just didn't use the sandpaper, I used only Meguire's Scratch-X.
Oh, yeah - that's why my elbow's now bad, too. :D
Franchise May 27th, 08, 3:54 PM Mark,
Too bad on the elbow....
so just Meguiar's scratchX, and good elbows??
SSuper Dave PM'd you back.
Thanks,
Ron
Xtreme70SS396 May 27th, 08, 5:07 PM If they are just scuffed, Plastic polish or Scratch-X will take it out.
Dean May 27th, 08, 5:12 PM Mine had some deep scratches which I sanded out with 400 , then sanded with either 1200 or 1500, I can't remember which.
Franchise May 27th, 08, 5:22 PM dean,
thanks for the info.
Ron
Franchise May 28th, 08, 3:28 PM thanks mark,
