Ok guys i want to put a bench seat in my el camino so that on the rare occation i can go to a cruize night i want to be able to take my wife and child. Anyone have a nice comfortable seat that will fit in there? I would like to have a center arm rest but....

I just picked up a wrecking yard special from a '70 or so and put into my '68 El Camino for just that '3 butt seating' reason. I did not go fancy, just got the basic seat and new repro covers. I ended up having a shop install the covers for me as they had the zig zag springs needed to replace broken bits.

I have looked at some of the truck setups and wondered though... buckets for general use... a console of sorts... and able to convert to bench when needed. Looks interesting if there is clearance with the driveshaft tunnel.

I'd imagine it would be easier to find one that's correct for the car because of the bolt holes.
