Adman Jan 21st, 04, 7:03 PM I might end up swapping on of these in for the tired on 283. I would ad an edelbrock dual plane peformer RPM, 650 Holley, and Heddman headers. Sound like a good setup ? If anyone has experience with these crates it would be nice to hear it. Monte-73 Jan 21st, 04, 7:26 PM Great engine, you dont need a 650... I think CarCraft or someone is dynoing one now...... i know it was 320 HP with exhaust manifolds and 341 with headers. Torque was around 380... Great engine, I personally would add maybe an XE262 to it. Then you would have a true 350HP 68chevelle533 Jan 21st, 04, 7:32 PM A friend put one in a mid 80s monte carlo, with a duals and a 3.73 gear. It gone 13.80s @100mph. He loves it. It has nice street manners and the idle is pretty much smooth but still has a little bite to it. I also like the fact that you have room to grow, put a hotter cam and do some head work, I would think it would pickup quite a bit. | ||
