I see in the new Car Craft that Flowmaster has a new 3" kit for Chevelles.
Anyone have a part number or price on this?

I have been in contact with Flowmaster since April regarding the 3" system. The system has been in R&D for quite sometime and should be going into production within the next couple of weeks. A rep in production has my phone number and said he will call when they have the product ready for distribution to the retail outlets.
The kit is to be the same as the 2.5" system.
Part #17200 for the 3" kit. No price as yet.

Maybe if more people call about the "A" body kit they'll ramp up production a little quicker!

Summit lists the price at $500 dollars. I can't believe the 2.5" kit is $285 and the 3" is this much more.

Flowmaster's sales manager told me yesterday that distribution to the retailers will happen this week. They will not offer the system without mufflers at this time, so for the folks that want to get a different sound, you'll have to purchase a second set of mufflers.
Another option would be to contact TA Performance or Torque Tech. Torque Tech offers a system as large as 3.5". Both companys have muffler options so you can choose what is best for you.

Anybody know what mufflers the kit comes with?
Are they the large bigblock mufflers or the 40 series?
Also where do the pipes exit the car at the rear?
