I have been fighting this for awhile. When I get on it the exhaust gives off an white smoke or white/greenish color. I'm sure it is oil but the motor only has 5k on it. I have played with the jetting on the secondaries thinking that was it but it just isn't resolving it. The motor does drink a bit of oil. I'm fearing the chromoly rings haven't and won't ever completely set. I was thinking the secondaries were washing the rings out. The motor only does this when you give it hell which is not often. It runs good and I have no complaints in the performance area. It is a 406sb 10.1 approx compression static with afr 195's 64cc , 1.6 rollers rockers, 292 cam 244@50 with lc 108 and 535 lift int/exh.(that includes what the rockers add). Holley 750dbl/pump on a rpm performer manifold. Rear end is posi 3.73 gear 12bolt with a m-21 4spd. 3" exhaust all the way from hooker super comp headers with flowmaster mufflers. Any thoughts?

It could be the rings but it could also be the intake gaskets. I have had this happen before. How do the plugs look? Are they all good or do you have a couple that are slightly fouled? If you have some that are better than others I would suspect a cracked intake gasket or loose intake bolts.

I built a 350 for a friend a while back and after about 1000 miles he was complaining about smoking under WOT and using oil. I pulled the intake and found the gasket was cracked on the lower side at #1 and #7. We replaced the gasket and all is well.

Just a thought and it's cheap and fairly easy to check.
