Speedometer makes rattle\grinding noise. Will new cable stop this or is it something else?

you might want to look at the cable and make sure it doesn't have a hard turn or a kink in it..

It will if it's the cable making the noise. If it's internal then you need a new speedo.

Pull the cable out of the sleeve and wipe it down with a clean shop towel, apply a thin coat of white lube on the entire length of the cable reinstall and try that.
