Actually, in getting in there and measuring what I did, I have an inch between the frame rail and the sidewall of the tire. The tires I'm running now are 28x11.5x15 ETS's on a 15x8, 4.5 BS Weld Prostar. I believe I could bump up to a 12.5 width tire with a half inch to spare on either side. If I do that I'd have to roll the wheel well lip, which I'm going to do anyway.

The other thing I have to do, yet, is cut out and install the mini-tubs. I ordered a set from Jeg's, I just have to get through this holiday season and do it. I figured I'd wait until after the roll cage is installed, and then tackle it, finish the frame painting, and get the floor buttoned up. I take the car in to the fabricators in mid-December.

Did you section some of the width out of the rails or did you move the whole rail section in, looks like nice work. Bob

Sectioned out an inch. I cut the rails with a plasma cutter, ground them down, and then slid them back together (one inside the other), welded it up, and there you go. Pretty straight-forward.

Here's the post were I talked about it...
