how do you figure out what compression ratio you have?

I'm gonna bump this one to the top. Can you edit your title so that it says something like "How do you figure compression ratio?" That'd get more people to jump on it.

I don't know the specifics, but to get in the ballpark you need to know the cc of your heads, what kind of piston you have, and what type of head gasket you are using. That is an *extremely* rough version of the total story. Sorry I can't be of more help.
