This question came up last night as we were at the Phillies game and I honestly didn't know the answer...

Who decides who the MVP is of any given Major League Baseball game? They announce this almost immediately after the last out.. but who decides this?? The announcers? sports writers in the booth? who :confused:

Never heard of MVP of an individual game... but it's probably what I've heard refered to as "player of the game"
"Player of the game " is usually a player anounced by the local station that is the home teams covering station. Then the player's name is used for promotional giveaways the next day, IE... if you know the player of the game in last nights Phillies game , be the 5th caller and we'll give you tix to Saturdays game.
But I'm just guessing here;)

Not here long, just got in... going to Dinner, to bed and up at 6AM for a College orientation at the Hyatt at Penn landing.
Then driving home to get Ryan back in time for HS prom... fun times.:noway:

Good one :D... nope... believe it or not, had to come to Philly for Ryan's ASU orientation and class sign up.

I was at the game last night too. Actually my wife, son and I were out on the field during batting practice and got to meet Victorino and Rollins. Her business donated some money to ALS so we got the red carpet treatment.

My son was blown away (he's 4) when one of the Braves coaches threw him a ball during practice.

Good stuff.
