: Hood insulation and horn question

Looking for advice from Chevelle experts. I have a 70 SS 396, with cowl induction. My first question is which side of the hood insulation supposed to be showing? The 'smooth' side or the real 'fuzzy' side?
Second question: Is this supposed to have the high note or low note horn? Mine is missing and I see both advertised in the catalogs for 1970. Thanks for helping a Chevelle new guy.

Hood insulation, you actually want the "crummy looking" side facing the engine. The smooth side is what is glued to the hood. Use "contact cement". That's what I used on my '70 and they are still holding up.

On my 1970 Malibu, I have two horn boxes up front(this is factory original on mine) one is a high note and one is a low note I believe for a combined effect. I never really played around with them to see if they are different notes. I'm assuming they are or the factory just would have installed one horn.

Hope this helps.
