are there any literature out there that have color or at least very good photos to help assemble parts and components in a chevelle,like the engine compartment etc, i have copied books of the service and body manuals, though they are not very good, thanks

Your best bet (to your actual question) is the factory assembly manual which can be ordered through the majority of parts suppliers or E-bay.

Nut and bolt Assembly blueprints, but not color photographs..
