Not sure where to post, so I'll put in General.

I am about to remove the ft & rr window regs, door mechs, and dash. It looks somewhat confusing in the doors!

I ran a few searches to see what I could read regarding "must know" tips about the process. I did find a great post on the dash R&R (http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/showphoto.php/photo/8839), but I could not find what I was looking for regarding the doors and glass.

Can anyone provide reference points on things I absolutely need to know before I begin? As usual I will take about 1,000 photos of all the bolts, locks, etc. so I have a great reference when reassembling and I will be bagging and labeling the parts as they come out.

Kind of things that I would like to know are:

Don't do this unless...
Do you need to save reference measurements for all of the regulator parts.

Any pointers on either process, please post!

If you don't already have it, find or borrow a Body By Fisher manual for your year. It explains and shows how to remove all the glass. You can buy reprints or originals at any large swap meet, or Ebay. The originals are more clear, printing is sharper etc.

I agree with Gary. The Body manual will answer all your questions and give you pictures on how to adjust them.

Thanks all. Already have the manual, just figured I'd ask ahead of disassembly for any "gotcha's" (better than asking after!)

And DON"T buy the repop units if you need a replacement...get a used one.
