How much oil should be coming out of my roller rockers? They are HS 3/8 stud mount. I can rev the moter without the valve covers on and get no oil spray. There is just a tiny bit on the rocker itself. Should I be worried? :(

Well you should have about the same amount of oil from your roller rockers as you would from stock ones..I have used Crane and Isky alum roller rockers and had oil flinging all over.

Thanks. Thats what I thought as well but a racing buddy said his didn't have much on his roller rockers as he did with regular rockers. Time to diagnose this problem

I think you'll find that the holes in the pushrod end of the rocker is smaller than stock. Full race motors are apart so often that you can oil them manually between runs. There will probably be enough coming through to provide proper lubrication, just not so much as to "flood" them and bring too much oil to the upper end. There are tons of places in an engine to limit oil flow (or increase it) just remember that the oil in the upper end also acts as a coolant for the rockers and springs.

you didnt say whether you are running a solid or hydraulic cam.some solid lifters are designed to reduce overhead oiling by 20%.they are only used with roller rockers because they will starve a stock-type rocker of lubrication.

Good points...At least with respect to my Crane Gold Rockers they do have smaller diameter oil holes in them. But at least on my BBC it seems to cause no restriction to oil flow at all.I am useing a " Piddle Valve " style solid lifter...same basic solid lifters I used in my last 327 that used the Isky Rockers. The Iskys also oiled very freely....I used straight 30WT exclusively on my 327 and am currently useing 15W-40 Fleet oil in my BBC...no rocker lube restriction at all....As Bowtie455 said Chevy used to offer an " Edge Orifice " solid lifter that was said to reduce the oil flow.If useing a hyd it should also have no problems oil the rockers assuming the rocker geometry and oil timing is correct.
