i know this is not a chevy question but it is gm performance ,70 442 455 need cam sugestion. 3000 stall basic stock bottom end 373 gears.the problem lies with the heads it seems i am restricted to only 512 lift with stock valve train .car will be used on the street and some strip time.i have thought about a w30 replacement cam

JunkYardDog,

I have several that are very popular in the 455 Olds.....
I make an O274/282H10( or 12..) with 226/233 at .050, .499/.499 valve lift, and 110 or 112 LSA.
I also make an O282/290H10, 233/241 at .050, also .499/.499 valve lift and 110 LSA.
The O282/290H10 needs the 3000 SS converter, the other cam has a better idle and more vacuum.
I'd use 1/2" fuel line and a high-volume mech pump with either cam.
