I have about a 1000 miles on the zz502 now and I still have black smoke coming out the pipes whenever I accelerate. It does not even have to be WOT. Can someone give me something I can look for? Other than that the engine runs great, stays cool in traffic, and gets about 11 mpg with 3.73's.

Couple of things to check.....make sure float level is correct and be sure choke is fully open after operating temp is reached. Those two items may not be contributing to your problem, but it is a place to start.
