Hello all,
Just a quick question.............is there any difference in cooling capacity for a puller vs. pusher fan? I would like to think that the puller is better than the pusher since the cool air has a more direct path through the radiator.
I'm looking into some turbo options and would like to open up some room in the engine compartment. Any real world test data is greatly appreciated!!

Sorry no data but I do have personal experience. When I bought my Chevelle it had a healthy 468. The car had a dual pusher and single puller setup. It never did cool very well. No suprise in Texas heat right? After reading some other posts I removed my single fan and changed my dual fan to function as a puller. It has since run a consistent 190 degress. I also have an adjustable thermostat wired in to turn the fans off and on at a predetermined temp.

Puller fans keep the engine cooler. I've been told this, and have experienced this firsthand!

I have the twin puller fans with 180stat. It works well with no problems.Mine is wired into the stat and also a switch under the dash. I have mine wired to both come on together. It can be wired several different ways.Check mine in my showroom.
