I finished up a whole brake upgrade on my 69 chevelle.4 wheel disc.new master,booster,the works.hard pedal like no vacume to booster.Have plenty of vac at hose to booster.there were two rods in kit that go between mstr and booster.used longer rod.other rod seemed way to short.maybe a bad booster out of the box?any body have same trouble?:confused:

did u use an aftermarket brake setup like wilwood or did u use a factory setup like delco. I installed front wilwoods on my 67 elcamino, with a 7" power booster/dual bowl master from ssbc, and i didnt know it at the time but that small booster needs AT LEAST 18" of vaccum to operate. they dont feel like they are grabbing like they should be grabbing. However my problem might be a bit different from yours, see the brakes i got from wilwood have 10" rotors. Kinda small, specially for a big block. But i have also been told that because they are a race style brake that the pads that might need to be warmed up in order to properly operate.
