I know the guy that this happened to.
He owns a huge mexican restaurant and bar, that he recently purchased.
For some reason he would count his huge wad of cash right in the bar, several times a night. He did this from Sept-Dec.
The regulars kept telling him to knock it off, he was going to regret it.
He finally stopped doing it, while now he is paying for it.
This happen two blocks from his restaurant, at the Circle K.

I used to manage a gas station, and the nightly deposit had to be counted and verified every night. I did this in plain view... in basically a glass surrounding (old school gas station) but also in plain view was my 38 special sitting right next to the money. I had a few instances where someone would come up to the window, see the money, then the gun and leave...... Never had a problem.

i knew a guy who worked for a large lumber yard, in a crappy part of l.a. well everyday he'd take the deposit in a brown paper bag, one day as he was getting in the car, an idiot blew his brains out and took a brown paper bag, it was the bag he brought his lunch in, so he was basically killed for a baloney sandwich....

Maybe it made him feel like a big-shot counting his wad in front of everybody?! :clonk: Not exactly a Mensa candidate ... :noway: He's lucky to be alive; I bet he doesn't do that again.

Not to diminish the heinous act of the crime. The victim was flagged down by two men near Highway 18 and Mondamon Road at about 3 a.m., said Trish Hill, spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Apple Valley station.
Your kind of asking for it picking doing this aren;t you?
