I bought a 1968 396ss 4spd car without motor, tranny, and driveshaft. What I need to know is what length I need for a manual trans. Will the 400 turbos driveshaft work with a saginaw or M20, M22 tranny?

You really need to measure it to make sure. Check this link out. I tried to do it without measuring it and had to have the brand new drive shaft shortened. Measuring is the best bet. http://www.a1driveshaft.com/driveshaftFrameSet1.html

Hi Tony,

If you got your car together with a 396, 12bolt rear, and muncie trans can you tell me the driveshaft length?

Thank you,
Gary from Toronto
