Depends....if you ask a 15 yr old, probably....if you ask a 70 yr old, probably not....if you ask someone else thats 55 they wont know until they ask a 15 yr old or a 70 yr old. :D

My answer is you only as old as you feel...and that answer for me kind of sucks cause I feel like im 90 at 31.

knees, back kill me almost daily. I need to step it up in the excercise and stretching department.

I think you know your getting older when young women open the door for YOU and nobody questions your Senior discount on coffee purchase at Mickey D's.

Did some kid offer to help you across the street yet? Another sign. ;)

Ask me.
I'm 17, unfortunately, I'm stuck in this darn 65yr old body.
Getting my first knee surgery done Fri am. :D

A 15yr old ain't got nuthin' on me, I can whip any of 'um-----------------cause I sneak up on 'um from behind with a 2x4.

OLD AGE AND TREACHERY WILL OVERCOME YOUTH AND SKILL! (that's hanging up on the wall in my work area)

I wish I could still do the things I did when I was 55, heck I wish I could do the things I did 5 years ago.

For sure, not everyone is the same, I square dance with some people in their 80's and wonder how in the heck they do it.
I'm only 70 and can't do much of anything anymore, much less keep up with a lot of those people in their eighty's.

Well if it's not it sure feels like it's getting close. Knees every so often but not really bad. Shoulder the last few months, makes funny popping noises, I don't think it's supposed to do that.

I was 23 when I bought our first Chevelle. When I get behind the wheel, that's my age again. Then I get out and try to do some physical work and I'm 61. I like 23 better. Retired people are always saying that they don't know how they ever had time to go to work. That's because it takes us about 5 times as long to do anything as it used to. It's not that we are accomplishing all that much. More like the turtle and the hair.

I feel ok just sore knees and ankles

If that's the problem, then no, I'd say 55 is not old.

My ankles and knees have hurt since I was in my mid twenties and now it takes a minimum of 3 Aleve to get out of bed in the morning. If it's raining or cold, I thrown in a couple of Tylenol or Excedrin on top of that.

My liver ought to fall out about the time I reach 55(I'm 38 now) but at least I can walk. Not fast, but it can be done. :D

I don't think 55 is old I'm 24 my dad is 51 and there is still now way I could keep up with him...there is something about that generation that ours will never have...I live near my grandfather and he is 75 and thinks he is 16...chases women stays out all the time and will come down and party with us till wee hours of the am...Its definately something I treasure. And my grandfather can still work circles around most guys my age I know. Heck of a man.

Is 55 old enough to get that sweet electric cart at the supermarket without getting dirty looks? If thats the case then 55 is the PERFECT age cause your still young enough to want to hotrod that sucker, kick the end out around corners or have your kids stand on the back to see if you can pull the wheels in the pasta isle.....AND you can get away with it.

You can hit on REAL hot young girls when their boyfriends are RIGHT there and if your coy and have a cool shirt like "#1 Grandpa" - they BOTH wont mind it.

Lastly - kind of cool that everywhere you drive roughly 1/3 of the speed limit signs show your age.

Prime, baby!!! Your in YOUR PRIME!!!!! Under the radar while going wherever you want and getting away with it....55 is a skunk works project.

I just turned 53 a few days ago, and other than my bad back from over 20+ years at my occupation, I still feel like a kid. Maybe our generation just refuses to get old :beers:

Maybe our generation just refuses to get old :beers: I don't think it's just 'our' generation. I think it's people, like us, that have a lot of interests and don't have time to slow down. I'm 'double nickels' and still climb trees to trim them and under cars to work on them. I have a problem paying somebody to do something I can do myself, so I don't have time to slow down. Except when I'm here.

I'll be 54 nexth month. I spent most of the Winter working on a project car. I spent hours on my back under it. A million times getting up and back down, lots of twisting around and crawling ouder the dash and stuff. That made me feel kinda old, but as far as everything else, I'm still good to go. Hank...I never been partial to climbing trees, just one of those things I avoid. I fell off of a couple of roofs when I was younger, and ain't liked heights since.

I stared out singing with the WHO's My Generation and watching Wild In The Streets! Then one day I woke up and was 30! Thought to myself, yhat's not old then 40 rolled around and I just blew it off as I felt fine! Then came the big 50! That was a few years after I got hurt. I felt like eighty but still I thought, that's not old! Now I'm a few short of that next decade and you know what??? That's not old either!!!:D It is all a state of mind!!!

Im 55 and I am still in the concrete Buss. Ever busted out a garage floor with a 20 pound sledge? Im still doing it. I can usually out work the young guys that work for me. BIG difference from 35 to 55 is I can only handle about 10 cold ones when it used to be 15 or 20.Oh ,and I now go to bed at 8 830 compared to whenever. I dont think I ever grew up. I just buy bigger toys.

I think 55 is the new 45, I'm 40 and I feel 30. Side note, about a month ago my assistant coach and I were on our practice field discussing strategy. While talking I noticed an older gentleman running around the track and doing sets of dips on the low parallel bars. As he neared I saw that he had to be pushing 70 or more, I made small talk with him as he passed by and on the next round I asked him how old he was, his proud answer was: "Son, I'm 85 and I try to run at least 3 miles a day." I gave him props, thumbs up and kudo's totally impressed. Right now I'd have trouble running down the street and back lol.

I'm 55 and my dad is 89.I've been down at the farm all afternoon digging up broken water pipes to the barn.Broke a hydraulic valve on our backhoe so we do it by hand.I'd dig for a while, then my dad takes the shovel out of my hand and tells me to sit down for a while,so he can dig,I'm not goin fast enough.Lol. I just hope I'm as tuff as he is if I get to his age. After we finally figure the plumbing out, he wants to go fix some broken windows in the upstairs of one of our old tractor sheds.I know I'll treasure these moments some day when he's gone but.......we're both getting old.

Your dad sounds like an awesome man, you better treasure these moments. I lost my dad when I was 7 so I'm trying to make some moments for my son. He helps me with the Chevelle and around the house. I help him with his jeep and truck. I don't think I'll be making treasured moments at 89 but who knows, does wearing a diaper and drooling in a cap qualify?:)

I do,he's a tuff old bird,WWII combat vet, still up every am at 6:30,feeding stock then he's usually out on a tractor, tinkering,or driving to the store for something. My mom's 89 too,she still does all the cooking and canning.P.S. Awesome color combo on your Chevelle.
