What is the difference between the dash in a 66 and the dash in a 67? I just obtained a trailer full of 1966-67 Chevelle parts and it contains 6 dashes and I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between them as well as trying to figure out what year other parts are from. Some have speedos, some don't, some have wiring harnesses and fuse panels. I have fenders, grills, dashes, consoles, shifters, bumpers, trim, and more to go thru. I will lable everything and begin selling. Thanks for any info.

The most easy to spot is the opening for the steering column. The 66 has a smaller opening.

Second difference...and more difficult to see...is the slightly different location of the headlight switch.

66 dash has a wider dash pad going almost all the way to the windshield flanking the speaker grille where the 67 pad stops short of the grille.
67 speedo housing has highbeam indicator lamp under the '0' mph number, 66 doesn't have this. Caveat, both 66 and 67 factory gauge speedo housings are essentially the same and neither has the highbeam indicator lamp.
As noted, the wiper switch is moved - The wiper knob on the 1967 dash is moved approximately 1/2-inch to the right from the 1966 location to facilitate collapsible steering column and hazard warning flashers that became standard on the 1967 model year.
The 66 ignition switch bezel has 4 'grooves' where the 67 has 3.
Both 66 and 67 3-lever heater/defroster controls are the same but the 4-lever A/C controls are different.
Naturally the headlamp, wiper, and lighter knobs are different.
Some of these with photos can be found here.
