I ADDED A 750 CARB TO MY SS454 TO GIVE IT A TOTAL OF TWO 750 CARBS . IT HAS ADDED A LOT OF HORSE POWER. HOWEVER, THE GAS PEDAL IS EXTREMLY HARD TO PUSH DOWN WHEN DRIVING. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO MAKE THE GAS PEDAL SOFTER TO PUSH DOWN?

Cable or rod-type accelerator setup? First check the carb linkages, unhooked from the accelerator rod/cable. Make sure they're smooth with no binding.
Two carbs will always have a stiffer pedal than one. All those accelerator pumps you're squirtin'!

Need to increase the amount of mechanical advantage in the pedal. That is to say slow down the progression of the throttle plates relative to the pedal movement. Most often this can be done by changing the mounting location of the rod or cable at either the carbs or at the pedal arm. You will need to increase the travel of the pedal to do this, at idle the pedal will need to be a little higher than it is today so that you can still get full throttle.
