I think it'd be cool to purchase some exhaust cutouts for my Chevelle. However, a $300 pair for electric cutouts is kind of steep for me. I was thinking about the cable released cutouts, since they're a lot cheaper to still do the same thing (so I have to reach and pull something instead of flip a switch, not that lazy to mind :D ). Can anyone recommend any cable-release kind or know of any downsides compared to the electric ones? Thanks.

How about just getting a 3" exhaust for the same kinda money?

Because it would be cool to have a kid my age in a Honda pull up next to me, me open my cutouts and give him a rev to shut him up, then shut them and be able to drive in the quiet.

i've heard the cable operated ones are prone to leaking, while the electric ones seal very well..... imo, just save up the $300 and do it right. it'll be worth it in the long run by doing it right the first time.
