well motors almost done one question i have is will i have enough fuel with a stock gas tank pick up and an electric fuel pump or should i weld a sump to the tank i want to keep the stock tank motor has 650 hp. any suggestions thanks for any info...mike

This is kind of a vague question.
For a true 650HP motor, the stock pickup should be upgraded to 1/2". You don't mention which pump to use. Some will supply enough fuel, some wont. A sump may be necessary, but it really depends on your application.
Although, upgrading your pickup to 1/2" wont do you any good if you don't upgrade the rest of the fuel lines, also.

motor actually is a little over 650 hp im using a mallery comp 240 pump how do you change the pick up tube thanks... mike

Remove the pickup assembly and change out the 5/16 or 3/8 line you have with 1/2". That Mallory needs 1/2" on the return line also from your regulator, so set that up while you are in there too.

I had a radiator shop relocate my fill tube so it came up inside the trunk ( keep fuel from coming out on the launch ) and add 2 - 1/2" pipe bungs in the rear of the stock tank. Just blocked off and welded up the other openings.
