: changing engines...change in flash stall?

I am changing engines in my nova and was curious what (if any) change in flash stall I would see with the new engine. The old combo (388) is listed in my sig, and on street tires it will flash stall around 3500 rpms. It is a 10" ATI streetmaster...they have 3 versions of this convertor, and mine is the middle one. The new combo is as follows...

355
approx 9.4-1
vortec heads
Isky 274 mega cam (226/226, .490/.490, 108lsa, 4* advanced)
vortec performer rpm
750 edelbrock carb
1 5/8" headers, the rest of the exhaust system is the same as what was behind the 388
same gearing, vehicle weight, etc.

I only have 2 convertors...a supposedly 2000 stall Dacco (brand new), and the existing ATI. I know this cam will want something in the 2400-2800 rpm range, and suspect that the current convertor will be too loose for the new motor.

Due to circumstances way beyond my control, I am putting the car up for sale. The 350 and all the parts I am adding is stuff I have gathered up over the years. I have way too much blood, sweat, tears, and money in the 388 to just let it go, so for now, I will be hanging on to it. For now :(

2k converters are cheap to get. 3500's aren't.
Might put a cheap cam in there instead. It would work better w/2k. Or try and trade for a holeshot or similar 11". The 108 lsa and 2k might scare some people off.
I'm used to going to neutral at a light now with my car and have to think about it to stay in drive for a stop sign. But some people will think something is wrong with the car.

It seems to me the 355 will produce less torque than the 388, thus reducing the stall. I think you'll be alright with the ATI,but if you're selling the car,why not hang on to the ATI?
