Hey All,
I currently have a Holley 650 double pumper
on my 454bb and I have the option of getting
a pretty new Holley dumper pumper for $275.
What would be the big pluses (more hp) and
big disadvanges of switing from the 650 to the 750 (more gas, retuning) ?
Thanks for the help!

ON a 454 I would think the switch to a 750 would be all positive. Most people run 750 to 950 on a street 454. My Son's 331 has a 650 double pumper :D

Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy the $99 proform body and swap all your 650 parts over then to buy a 750 for $275?

For sure the 650 is too small for a 454, but is the 750 big enough. On that engine I would probably use an 800 or 850 - Holley's website has info on selecting the right carb.
I like the idea of changing to the ProForm body like 66Chevy mentions, but I've never tried it. It should be a direct replacement for $99 - cheap.
