I saw a post someone had that problem and ran into that myself. hooker 2455 w/ edelbrock rpm heads and arp bolts. anyway, i called arp .they make a set of 12 point short head bolts just to correct this . i'll have mine next week. around $20.00 w/ shipping .

We had this same problem with Hooker Competition headers on a stock '74 454 in a '69 Chevelle. A little grinding on the header flange corrected the problem. One tube rattled on the steering shaft and needed a dent. The combination valve had to be moved out of the way of number 7 tube and the collectors took up a lot of the ground clearance. These headers would have been best left hanging on the wall. At least they fit up there.
