: Tranny Cooler or Not?

I just got my TH400 back from the shop who performed a street/strip rebuild. Part of the rebuild was putting a GM deep pan on, so I can hold another 2 quarts of fluid.

I plan on using a B&M 2400 Holeshot when the car is done. The guy at the shop advised me to run a transmission cooler. Is it necessary?

I'd rather not run one, as I don't want the extra clutter.

With a stall converter, you should run one. 2400 is too much, so a small cooler should work. Put it down low behind the bumper and it will be less noticeable.
