I just put a new power booster on my 70. Wasn't an unreasonable job with the exception of the bracket that holds the brake lines to the booster from behind it. Probably a easy job with the fenders off. Might have been easier if I had removed the master cyclinder like they reccommended. At least I had the hood off for the motor swap. That silly little clip with the rubber holding the lines came unsprung just a little and there was no room to get in there from behind the booster to get the bolt started. Holy crap I spent 45 plus miniutes trying to get the bolt started. Finally got it though. I bet if you took it to a shop they would have left that bolt out. Does anybody else know what I'm talking about? CB08 is coming fast and its going to be tight if I get my car done. I'll be there with or without a Chevelle but I would rather be with.

i have a lot of funky wrenches, and i don't do it for a living..
i just like to have some tools "just in case" i need them someday.
but i must say that my Craftsman ratcheting swivel head wrenches are about the most used tools i have these days- i honestly don't know how i did some things without them. but i can't figure out why they don't make them in 11/16 and 19mm sizes..

There was no getting to it with any kind of wrench. Socket and extension. The clip unsprung and the holes don't line up. Behind the booster on the left side of the car. You could just barely touch it with your hand. Had to put tape on the socket get it to bolt stay in.

I usually put a piece of paper over the end of the socket and press the nut into the socket through the paper. It jams the nut into the socket just enough that it stays, and you don't end up trying to fish a piece of tape off the nut once you get it on.
