Problem is they have "fingers" on both ends like should only be on the rear where it plugs into the backing plate. Does any vendor sell the correct ones that require the little clip? It should have the clip to hold it in the frame. The vendor checked his other cables and they are all the same. Hi-po SS 454 Apr 25th, 08, 4:13 PM I got my rear cables (71 Chevelle) from Inline-tube. They went in just like the old ones, there was never a clip at the frame. And there is no way these cables will move out of the frame. rontoomanyprojects Apr 25th, 08, 4:33 PM Mine had a clip at the frame. The little clothes pin looking clips. Did yours have the fingers at both ends. Every one I have worked on all had the retainer clips. Right above the front of the lower rear control arm.
