I picked up something on my engine and don't know what it is but it had these rust colored specs that was noticeable on the aluminum parts mainly. I was told to use WD 40 and water on the aluminum which worked pretty well but doesn't work on the ceramic headers. I guess it's not that big of a deal but was wondering if anyone has used the WD trick or what you guys use to clean aluminum intakes, and other parts. I tried to take a picture of the spots on the header pipe. I think you can see it just below where the reflection from the camera flash is about where the pipe turns. thanks

On your headers use 000 steel wool, it will take care of that. I have used the WD40 trick on aluminum intakes that get that white spces after sitting in dampness for a while. I spray it on and let it soak then blow it off with compressed air.
