Does the outer ball have to be in a straight line or it is ok to ride at an angle like this? The bracket came from OPG and if I install to the factory specs this is what I get. There is no way to make the ball straight without major surgery to the bracket. I need to get this welded asap so I can send the frame out for powder coating.

I recently also replaced my Z bar frame mount with a new unit from one of the vendors. It too was a little off when mounted, not as bad as yours, but not great either. Mine sits a little high on the frame side.
So far it's been o.k. for me.....a couple of hole shots and speed shifting and it's still running fine:thumbsup:

Angle is OK, as long as it isn't hitting the edge, but the straighter the better. Mine has an angle also.

I sent mine back to Ground-Up for a replacement.
APPARENTLY there is a problem with these things.
The one I got for a replacement was much straighter---but not quite right.
(and they claimed no one else has had this problem)
They did make a note of the differences tho

Mine fit exactly like yours. I welded it to the frame, then put a pipe wrench on and bent it straight, then it worked fine and everything lined up straight.

mine also looked roughly the same, i may have moved mine up a tad more to try to get it to even out some, but it def sits at an angle, same as yours, on my 67

Did you heat it or did it bend cold? It looks pretty thick.

I just tightened the pipe wrench to just fit over it and gave it a pull. I have a 3 foot pipe wrench!
