4-door Chevelle

My issue is I can't hold the car back even though I have a line-lock. Sometimes I walk out of the water box at the track a little earlier than I want to. I was really hard to compete in the burn-out contest but I was able to get the tires spinning quick enough, link here http://www.hopeandcompany.com/burnout.wmv . I suppose the issue is I have manual drum brakes all the way around. I can't do any major upgrades until next season since I had to have my engine rebuilt for this year's upgrade. Two years ago I put new shoes on which didn't help. I thought for sure turning the drums would do it last year but it was not any better at all.
I thought I remember reading about one brand of shoes being better at braking (or holding in my case). Any ideas on the shoes or the drums?
Thank you!!!
