Just read a post about a Holley running rich and I got me thinking. "Is my carb. setup correctly?" Maybe someone can help me with a few pointers.

I have a Holley 600 cfm (universal) stock out of the box installed on my 68. The engine is a 327 (.030) with an L-79 Crane Blueprint Series cam (.222 / .447 @ 50)with 1.6 to 1 steel rockers. I have a Holley HV mech. fuel pump, Edlebrock RPM Performer, K&N air filter, MSD dist. (vac. adv.) and 6AL box, headers w/ 3 chamber Flowmasters, and 1.94 smog style heads.

What size jet should I use for Primary / Secondary? Should I also change the power valve? I do notice a slight engine surge at idle. Could this be the wrong carb. settings. The idle screws function and I can stall out the car when I turn them in all the way. The vac. gauge reads around 15. I can't remember exactly. Thanks in advance.

are both of your cars running rich? If so when at idle, cruise?
