I am in the process of installing a ZZ502 into my 70 Chevelle. From what I read the zz502 does not have a mounting hold for the clutch pivot ball. It says it needs to be drilled and tapped. I found a clutch pivot ball bracket for the Gen VI block on Scoggin Dicky Parts. Has anybody installed a zz502 with a 4 speed? Do you recommend the bracket?
Also, any recommendations for a clutch. The fywheel I ordered for the Gen VI block says to use a 11" clutch. The 4 speed is a 10 spline.
Thanks
I used the Scoggin Dickey on my Gen V 454, works great on a stock bell housing. On a blow proof I think it had to be shimmed. As far as a clutch kit I used a Zoom kevlar 11" kit. So far so good.

Wait till you get the block, it may be drilled already as my Gen 6 454HO was.

We drilled and tapped mine, It really isn't that big of a deal.

I second that! Did mine in the car with the inner fender removed. Took less then half an hour to drill and tap.
