I'm in need of the oil pump mounting bolt/stud, used to help secure a separate windage tray. Only listing found by the local GM parts guy, is for the typical style bolt, with no threaded end for tray mounting. I was told by my engine builder that GM would have this bolt. A specific GM part # would be helpful. If it's aftermarket available, that's fine also. With my limited "search", I haven't yet "found what I'm looking for". Appreciate the help. Thanks.

I may have one. I pulled the 6gt pan off a crate engine to install a 4gt. The engine came with a seperate windage tray mounted off of some main cap studs. I know I had to replace the studs with regular bolts, not sure if there was one I replaced on the oil pump as well. I'll check tonight when I get home.

Sorry Brian, can't help. I looked through the parts. I have 4 main cap studs and the nuts. I also have 1 extra nut, probably came off the stud on the oil pump. They didn't supply a bolt to replace the stud, just remove the tray and leave the stud since it's not in the way I guess.

I looked through the GMPP catalog but couldn't find the part # for the stud. You could look again, I may have missed it. Another option is to find a parts guy at a GM dealer that is willing to do some research. They won't find it in their computer, they'll have to make some phone calls. I bought a new GMPP distributor last year and the vacuum advance canister was leaking. Found a local GM parts guy that called the Flint plant, tracked down the # and ordered me a new under warranty.
