: Where to buy Lunati cams?
OUChevelleSS Dec 22nd, 04, 1:00 AM I'm trying to get my cam for my BBC project, and I need it kind of 'custom ground' in a way (It's the 402A3LUN ground on 112LSA instead of 110LSA), but for the cam I need, Summit says it won't be available until January 13th, and I can't find it on Jegs. Anywhere else online good to buy them from?
SS_Sean Dec 22nd, 04, 1:28 AM For Lunati Sales and Service, contact Lunati at 901-365-0950.
OUChevelleSS Dec 22nd, 04, 2:22 AM Well anyone besides them? They told me to look at places online similar to Summit because when you get a cam direct from Lunati it's $35ish more.
That's the problem about trying to save the money. You want it now you are going to have to pay the piper. If you want to save the $35 you will have to wait. Anyone dealing with a middle man for a custom grind uaully has to wait. I have done cam shopping and that is how it has gone for me. I also ran into the same issue on getting a dash from Covan's. To save on shipping would cause me a 3 week delay. Paid the shipping and it took less than a week. Good Luck smile.gif
Bob West Dec 22nd, 04, 7:24 AM Why the 112 LSA? narrower produces a higher peakier torque range. Unless you plan on spraying it
ratengine Dec 22nd, 04, 11:57 PM For the Lunati Cams give BTE a call at 1-800-626-1828. www.bteracing.com (http://www.bteracing.com) They have fair prices and drop ship for Lunati if not in stock. I purchased mine there went with part number 502A1LUN with a 112 C/L produces cleaner idle.I am replacing a Comp Cams POS Xtreme street solid roller harden iron crap.
Dave.
OUChevelleSS Dec 23rd, 04, 1:32 AM Harold recommended it be a 112LSA because I run a lot of power things and A/C.
Bob West Dec 23rd, 04, 7:34 AM I had power brakes only and 110 lsa was borderline....good choice.

That's how I got mine!
OUChevelleSS Dec 23rd, 04, 8:17 PM It's kind of weird, whenever I called Lunati they acted like I was dumb for going through them and wouldn't let me and just kept telling me to go through Summit. I ended up going through Summit anyway since it has to be ground a bit differently, Lunati was out, so it'd take about the same time.
Bob West Dec 23rd, 04, 10:14 PM I liked Comps customer service, got the cam pretty quick too, just took forever to get the T-shirt :D
