I was hoping somebody could recommend a good fuel pressure regulator. I have a holley mechanical 130gph pump to a holley 'max pressure' regulator. i am not pleased with this regulator, as i feel it doesn't function too well. i have gone through 3 fuel pressure guages, as they work for a while then read way off. i guess the old saying 'you get what you pay for' holds true, as this holley unit is only about 20 dollars while most other regulators i have looked at are around 100. any suggestions?

Always use the regulator that your pump manufacturer specifies.

Are you using the small 1 1/2" mechanical fuel pressure gauges? If so, there all junk IMO. My BG gauge reads at least 1 1/2 lbs different that the 2 5/8" Autometer Ultralite gauge.

Leave the regulator you have (assuming it's the recommended model) and install a good Autometer full size gauge.

I also do not like using different manufactuers for pumps & regulators. Each regulator has in it's design the ability to control a certain amount of line/feed pressure. Don't swap manufactures or models.
