I recently picked up a 71 dash for my 70 and am in the process of restoring it. I tried putting power to the clock, nothing. I took it apart cleanen the points and soldered a broken wire. still nothing. Here are some pics of my dash progress

I picked up a Rustoleum "metalic leafing pen" from OSH to do the silver trim around the gauges ect. It worked great.

yes it is. it is the ONLY vinyl/plastic paint I will use. the best out there in my opinion. I've tried the others and the don't compare.:thumbsup:

I took the clock to a watch repair dude and he wouldnt touch it. but he said that the coils are most likely burnt out

The last 3 guage clusters I had restored, I always had the clock redone with a quartz mechanism. They all worked great and never missed a minute. Way too much work to get at them to gamble on anything else working. For the 100.+ it's well worth it in my opinion.

Did you get that housing in Redding a couple of weeks ago? If so, you beat me by an hour!
