So I found out my engine is a LS9 out of an 85 Truck. Where can I get the specs of this engine? Compresion ratio, camshaft timing and lift. That sort of thing?
The casting is 14010207 from the back of the block.

LS9
Reports indicate that a 6.2 L (376 in³) LS9 is due in 2008. Displacement is the same as the 6.2 L LS3; the LS7 was not used due to the higher cylinder pressures created by the supercharger requiring the thicker cylinder walls of the LS3. Cylinder dimensions are now 4.06 in (103.25 mm) bore with a 3.62 in (92 mm) stroke. It is equipped with an Eaton four-lobe Roots type supercharger and is stated to produce at least 620 hp (463 kW).
ZQ3, L46, LT-1, L48, L82, L81, L83, L98, LM1, L05, L31 are Gen1 350s. As you see the LS9 isn't out yet and it's for Corvettes.
LS9 is the basic GM crate 350:

As you can see it actually is called the LS9-L or L LS9 here:

Another link to it being referred to as the LS9:

No it was available in the pickup. The crate motor is the replacement. The last link shows the RPO code for it. In 1979 it was a whopping 165hp  :D
