I have found alot of great info on springs in the tech forums, and I will get to my point quickly. RED68SS had posted this site for springs and it helped me understand springs. http://www.classiccarsprings.com/chevy/8chevelle.html
I just finished up installing the Hotchkis TVS rear suspension package. I also purchased new stock springs. I realize low is good, however I dont know if it is my tires size 255 60SR 15 but it needs to come up just a little bit. I feel I have purchased the HD springs for a stock Chevelle. Will the springs from the Chevelle Wagon fit my car. According to the spec sheet they are an inch taller, and a little thicker in diameter which will prevent the body from letting it set down as much.
I am hoping for some input on this subject. I feel I have learned alot already, but it is a topic that keeps coming up.

If you have 6201 springs installed, installing the 6197 heavy duty springs will theoretically raise the car .68 inch. The wagon spirings, 5235, would raise the car 1.9 inches over the 6201 springs -- way too much I assume.
If you already have the 6197 springs installed and still need a little more, there weren't any stock springs that would work. You'll either need to use a spacer on what you've got or possibly cut part of a coil off the wagon springs.
As far as ride goes, I am running 167.5 lb/in springs for my 68 rear. The spring rates for your possible springs are:
6201 112 lb/in
6197 138 lb/in
5235 146 lb/in
Hotchkis rear springs are 135 lb/in
Pro touring springs would be closer to 175 lb/in
The 138 lb/in spring shouldn't be a problem.
