"Grenaded" is such a strong word LOL. I would say "wounded." It's a long story but I am confident of my tuneup and that once i get some tire under the car I can run some good numbers with it.

I am waiting to get a copy of the HotrodTV show from this week as I don't have a satellite. Apparently after pedalling it several times, it got air under the front tires in 2nd gear 100 feet out when I got back on it! Then a puff of smoke from the tires.

Bob No your not...still on dial up right now...fastest I can connest is 28.8k turtle slow.

Looking to switch to DSL when we move into our new house the end of July.

DSL is tricky, if you are too far from the box, you can still only connect @ SLOW speeds. I can get cable, im just TOO cheap. LOL.

Gene Yes Gene, those rear drum brakes we raped from my car last night for the beaumont are "gently used." I can't remember EVER making a panic-stop with those babies, not even last october when I did a high speed 180 on Glenmore when I hit the nitrous on the street... LOL ;)

Yikes, I bet that wasnt like pulling a 180 in a Corvette. How fast were you going? Did you hit anything? I think the only time I have done/can do a 180 is when its wet out:)

I think the only time I have done/can do a 180 is when its wet out:) It wasn't the smartest thing I have ever done - in my defence it was very late at night, nobody on the roads, nailed it at about 60mph then when I was in third I hit the nitrous and the back end passed me and I ended up in the left most lane pointing the wrong direction. Don't know how fast the car was going but the tires were instantly doing about 170 when I hit the nitrous. Luckily the only thing I hurt was my underwear.

Thanks for the good words everyone. I feel priveledged to be put on the cover - now I have to turn off the nitrous and make some chassis changes so that I can hook it next year (if invited.) If the car is back together and running well, I will just show up at the PGD's invitation or not.
