Im getting ready to fire up my car with the new TH350 and i went to get some fluid today. I was weighing the options of going synthetic or not. I dont want to spend an arm and a leg (but im not completely opposed to it if i know its gonna keep my transmission alive for a long time). I mostly cruise it but would like to finally make it to the track a few times this year. I've been throwing around the idea of Royal Purple or Amsoil. Or on the other hand i was looking at just some Mobil One. But i wasnt sure. I tried to search and see what everyone was using and liked without any luck. Any recommendations or things to look for in a good transmission fluid?!? Thanks for the help guys!!

Of course synthetics are the way to go if you can afford it. I've actually used the cheap chevron atf before. In the race trans, we used royal purple max atf as it was sponsored. Now I have a 5 gallon jug of RP race atf and will use it after I finally get it rebuilt. Whatever is easy to get and at least semi-synthetic should be ok.

rotella tractor fluid can be bought in a 5 gallon barrel at walmart for less than 50 bucks.

Thanks for the help guys!! Im going to see what Royal Purple goes for here in a little bit. Hopefully i can go with syn w/out breaking the budget!!! If not ill just go with reg. Dextron. Thanks again for the help!!

If mobil 1 atf is relatively cheap compared to Royal Purple, you can use that. I know that it's hard as hell to get here and it's $8 a quart if you can find it in Hawaii. Might as well get the purple stuff because it's easier to find here.

What does your trans builder recommend ?? That would be the best fluid to run in my opinion :)
