: Anybody heard from Mr 4 Speed?
GRN69CHV Sep 10th, 04, 6:26 AM I was anticipating some feedback on his experimentation.
Just wonder how he made out with the intake swap from Performer 2-0 to RPM. If it made any difference in MPH or ET?
HPseeker Sep 10th, 04, 4:04 PM I am waiting for the good #s too ,nothing like a mid 12s e/t car with 2.73 ring pinion ,he last post here in 8-26-04 .

427L88 Sep 22nd, 04, 10:34 AM He be wanting to start using the RPM capability of the RPM and see how LOW the black cherry car can dip into the 12's!
Chris, what did Old Red run at Lebanon last year when I lined up against Tom? 12.70??
Interesting number, let's see! ;)
Hey, I got 3.31s too!( kinda )
Hope the swappo goes OK. VERY curious as to what a bit more torque multiplication will do for 'ya. Methinks the black cherry car will feel like it took two donuts off it's bat before its turn at the plate!
Finally can use some of that cam and new intake!

Private joke on the reason for my post above.
I was harassing Chris...I sold him those gears 4 freakin' years ago! :D
GRN69CHV Sep 22nd, 04, 3:16 PM 4 years, that's all! Heck I've got stuff still in the boxes wrapped up in the 1979 newspaper that I packed them in when I moved out of my parents house, including an almost new set of 3.31's that we took out of a buddy's '69 Nova back in '73. [By the way, we were 16 then, got the 3.31's out no problem, but had to have the car towed to a "real" mechanic to get the 4.10's installed]. In fact, come to think of it, we did a lot of disassembly back then, that never got back together.
Chris, if you read this, put the gears away, just like good wine, they haven't aged enough yet.
mr 4 speed Sep 22nd, 04, 5:00 PM Bill,I still have the 3" exhaust and mufflers too :D
Wings/Pizza are on me
Joe,my intake comparo will get lost in the sauce with the gear change, but I'm sure the intake swap won't hurt, thats for sure.
I might toss in a lightweight fuel pump pushrod if I get the time.
