looking for some general info on chevelle L72 ? was the 427 motor put in cars with a 402 motor on the vin tag ? what kinda value ? thanks for all feedback.

The only way a 427 showed up in a Chevelle was thru the C.O.P.O. program and '69 (I believe) was the only year. '72 cars have a vin# identifying the engine. 2 big blocks were available "U" in the vin for 402ci and "W" for 454. The 427 production ended in '69.
