: Setting off car alarms
loader1 Apr 17th, 08, 1:58 AM ALL OVER TOWN! :D Finally got everything finished up about 1830. Went out for a spin around town. Everything went fine. Definitely a different driving experience. Even with my gearing it is soggy on the takeoff, if you try to take off easy. BUT,...if I revved it up and eased the clutch out and accelerated up to 2500 it starts to smooth out and 3200+ she's purrin' and I could feel the power is gonna be there Friday.
Darryl, I set the float level like you mentioned and it stopped the fatness at idle. I still need to rerun the fine tune on the carb again. Just to make sure I got it right. All the baseline checks were good. This thing is such a radical difference when listening to it while tuning it'll take some getting used to. I'll def want your opinion Friday once you can hear it for yourself.
Didn't want to bore you guys with my new found video skills ;) cause you're gonna hear it in a couple of days anyway.
Anybody hear from Mark today? Greg?.....Get goin'!
FourEightyNine Apr 17th, 08, 2:09 AM Gosh Mike why dont you throw some salt into the wound while your at it, making me feel sick to my stomach that I am about to not be racing this weekend:thumbsup::sad:.
Glad to hear you were out causing havoc on the streets with that beast. I really am hoping mine sounds as good as your does in that video:eek: I think the 100cubes might tone it down, although it is ground on a 107lsa, well see. Definitely gona try her out with some open headers when I get it all broken in:hurray:
Maybe it will only sound as good as yours if it was ground 50 degrees offl:)
loader1 Apr 17th, 08, 2:16 AM Sorry, didn't mean to gouge ya. I think the motor sounds better thru the 3" and bullets.
Aww quit joshin' me that thing of yours is gonna be B/A. My small cubes really intensify the grind of the cam.

I talked to him, his batteries are recharged and have a few ideas he's trying to get her done. Hope all goes well. Told him my tech center is open until 1:00 am tonight.
Mike,,,,,setting car alarms off with a rumble is my next favorite thing to do behind racing and burnouts.
