Hi, well the gods were good to us today, the cars were due to be collected tomorrow, but we collected them today, and what a happy day that was. myself and alan went to the docks to meet the container, when they opened it up all i seen was 4 tail lights, WHAT A SIGHT....... we got the cars out , put in some petrol and fired them up. what a sound that chevelle makes. MAGIC. Both of the cars sound and drive very well. the chevelle is much more roomier than my camaro, in fact it felt huge. the weather here is not warm at the moment but i cruised through town with all the windows down , just posing of course, but it felt like a million dollars.:D:D:D felt like KING OF THE ROAD :hurray:.I WILL POST UP SOME PHOTOS TOMORROW. Dont think i am going to sleep tonight.:cool:

Wow, that is really cool. Curious did you buy them off ebay here or something and ship them? Is it tough to get parts for them there, or to get work done on the cars in Ireland?

Is it tough to get parts for them there, or to get work done on the cars in Ireland?Hi , we spent ages looking for the right car on the web ,and then we got them checked out by an independent assessor.being waiting on this car since before last christmas.:D:D All my parts , everything HAS to come in from the usa,i have been getting parts in for my camaro for 4 years, sourcing parts is easy enough. My friend BILL ships the chevelle parts over to me , i have a mountain of chrome and engine goodies here just waiting to go on.All the work will be done by myself, and if i get into any problems or need a hand ,the crew here will be only too happy to help out.:hurray::hurray:

That must be awesome site over there..There can't be very many Chevelles in Ireland! It must look cool cruising amoung the MG and Truimphs etc..

What is gas going for over there? For 94 Octane it is approx $1.30 per litre here in Canada..

When we visited in Feb, gas was $1.13 Euro per Litre... worked out to approx $6.50 per gal in USD. There is only one grade of gas offered and I didn't notice the octane rating...which I would imagine is calculated differently anyhow.

For 94 Octane it is approx $1.30 per litre here in Canada..There are 4 other Chevelles that i know of in the country,a lot more Corvettes ,Caddys, Buicks, a few 55 Chevys , 57 Chevys, Impalas, a lot Mustangs, few Cougars, Torinos and a good cross section of other american motors.i know for sure that there is only ONE BLACK 72SS CHEVELLE,MINE:yes::yes:.....aint too many old MGs or Triumphs in daily use anymore. see them at shows a lot.

reminds me of the day mine rolled off the transport truck from Alabama. I saw the 4 tail lights as well and I was 17 years old, a junior in high school. Took the car the next week for the licence test. Was pretty cool to get my drivers licence in my chevelle. I'm turning 21 in October, CONGRATS!!! update us with all the goodies you're going to install.

kewl  I wouldn't have thought a chevelle would have fit in one of those containers. I've been in one or two and thought that they were narrower than that.
