Replacing 4.10 with factory GM 3.31 gear set, can't seem to find the depth set engraved on pinion, is this common.:sad:

The factory GM pinions were not marked with a pinion depth measurement.I have found that using the factory GM pinion shim usually will suffice as a good starting point but be sure to check the pattern with gear marking compound.
