Recently while driving my 65 El Camino the speedo went nuts and emitted a weird buzzing noise. The red needle then fell out. Returning home the centre piece that holds the needle fell out.

Ever happen to you? Can I just rebuild the old speedo or should I get a new one?

Posting the same question in more than one spot eh? You question is answered in the other spot. :D

You have a few choices;
1. pull your speedo out and send it to a speedo shop for repairs.
2. replace it with a used speedo out of another 65
3. buy a new one from one of the many stores that sell Chevelle parts.

I don't know of any place that sells parts to repair speedos but there are shops that specialize in that type of service.
