Does anyone know anything about the Predator Carb?
Anyone use one?
Pro's or Con's?
Better with Normal intake (like the RPM performer) or a tall one(like a tunnel ram or TeamG)?
I've got a fairly large cam and at least 10:1 compression.
I want a show and drag car. Not going to do long trips in this.

Fuel economy will be terrible. There is no power valve or power piston, therefore it is "full rich" all the time.
You have to spend extra to get an idle circuit, too. This is not a good street carb. What makes me suspicious is you don't see too many on race vehicles, either.
Another issue-the throttle blades are straight rectangular units, not the familiar twin round blades. I suspect they won't clear a dual plane intake manifold without a spacer. Not an issue with an open plenum.

Have a friend who used them in dirt track racing a few years ago. Saw a couple at drag races LONG ago. None recently.

Who remembers when this carb first was made by Kendig? The Kendignator.. Truck pullers love them. I dont see them anywhere else though.

They seem to only have a following in the truck crowd. Know a local guy that swears by them on his race trucks. Probably OK for a idle/WOT/idle deal. Part throttle though?? Cool looking.

Ya They look cool thats one of 2 reseaons for looking into them. The other is they seem to not need adjusting, tuning, or go on only a small range of block sizes. They Flow "up tp 950 cfm". They work off demand. But I think if i'm not going with this, I'll go with a tunnel ram and 2 four barrel setup. Thanks for the reply's!!

I have a feeling it is the modern equivalent of the "Fish" carb. that everybody swears got a 100 mpg, but was bought up by the oil companies to keep people from using less gasoline and thus cutting into their profits..
